Privacy Policy
HabitLock is designed to keep your tasks, earned-time activity, and Screen Time selections private on your devices.
Information HabitLock uses
HabitLock stores the tasks you create, completion history, earned-time balance, app preferences, and Screen Time selection needed to provide the app’s features. This information is stored locally on your device and, where required for HabitLock extensions, in the app’s private Apple App Group container.
Screen Time access
With your permission, HabitLock uses Apple’s Family Controls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to let you select apps, apply shielding, and temporarily remove shielding when you spend earned time. Apple provides HabitLock with opaque selection tokens rather than your complete device activity history.
Subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. HabitLock receives purchase status information needed to unlock subscription features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, HabitLock schedules reminders and unlock-expiration notices using Apple’s notification services. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Data sharing
HabitLock does not sell your personal information. HabitLock does not use your task content or Screen Time selections for third-party advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Your HabitLock information remains on your device until it is removed through the app, reset by the app’s daily behavior, or deleted when you remove the app and its associated local data. Apple may retain subscription records according to its own policies.
Children’s privacy
HabitLock is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when HabitLock’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
